Sadly, we report on another two veterans who have taken their lives over the past few days.
It was reported last night that Craig Quinn ex-Household Cavalry, had taken his life by the Veterans Group, Warriors RV Ops Room. While this morning, it was reported that Marc Rhoddan, ex-Royal Regiment of Scotland took his life just days after his 28th birthday.
The news of these two latest suicides come just a few days after the national newspapers continued their campaign against the growing number of Veterans suicides in 2018.
So far, in October alone, there have been 13 confirmed suicides attributed to Armed Forces and Veterans in the UK. We can also reveal that there have been 50 confirmed suicides during 2018 and a further 8 either restricted sensitive information or awaiting details.
The Sandbag Times and Tommy Atkins Veterans Centre is due to launch a brand new online help service called Veterans Online Rewind Therapy System to try to offer effective treatment online to combat the rising veterans suicides. The scheme will be trialled by Dr David Muss, the founder of Rewind Trauma Therapy and Director of Mental Trauma, Birmingham Hospital.
