The new Democrats and Veterans Party launched tonight, Friday 9th February at the Marriot Hotel in London.
Trevor Coult was the first to stand up and talk about how there needs to be more done for veterans care stating that the Defence Minister does work hard to tackle issues but more needs to be done. He called for Veterans across the country to follow the Democrats & Veterans Party in order to bring back ‘Respect & Commitment’ to Veterans,
Following Mr Coult was the Councillor for Colchester, Steve Ward who called for an honest and fair government that does not stand for 1% but 100% by democratic merit based changes. Alongside Mr Coult and Councillor Ward were other members and guests who all spoke on the need for a fresh change.
The launch was originally meant to be held at the Union Jack Club but a decision was made at the last minute to boycott the event by the directors of the Forces club as they could not be seen to be taking a political stance.
