SBT Patron, Matt Neal has taken Pole Position for the third round of the British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton. His pole lap also broke the track record in what is hoped will be a turning point for the Halfords Yuasa Honda Civic R FK8.
The previous two rounds have been far from ideal despite both Team Dynamics drivers scoring well. However, a fast track with hard corners allows the new car to show its potential.
Team mate, Dan Cammish made it to the second row with an outstanding fourth place despite being deducted a lap time for exceeding track limits. This is Dan’s 3rd Fourth position in a row for the new BTCC driver. An outstanding achievement.
Full race coverage starts at 11.15 on ITV 4 and for those lucky enough to be visiting Thruxton tomorrow can watch the full days programme from midday.
See you all there!!
