We begin with both teams taken prisoner as they enter the interrogation and final phase of SAS: Who Dares Wins, Series 4.
The interrogation phase began with Harshing, installing anxiety and fear into our recruits. In turn, they were brought to the interrogators, stripped to their underwear to add the pressure of the cold and aggressively questioned. After which they were put into stress positions and subjected to continuous noise. After 4 hours, No:17 Vicki, VW’d followed closely by No: 14, James and No:21 Louise.
After over 6 hours, the Interrogators find inconsistencies in the stories and bring them together. No:6 Mark, tells interrogators they are British Military but not the full story. After this, Milo starts to struggle and gets the focus. He is interrogated but performs well under pressure.
No:25, Hannah was up next in interrogation and wouldn’t give any information. The staff watching on all agreed this would have ended her time in a real life situation. After this No:18, Rick was interrogated. During the questioning, he said that the rest of the team had let him down, potentially breaking the bond of the team.
After 18 hours of interrogation, the phase ends leaving the DS to decide who passes and who fails. Hannah and Rick, despite their strong performances up to this phase are withdrawn.
One by one, Milo, Mark and Lou are told they have passed the course.
I have to take my hat off to all contestants who took part in this gruelling course. Everyone who took part was an inspiration to anyone experiencing difficulties in their life and showed just what can really be achieved when you are prepared to go beyond the limits you set for yourself. In particular, I would like to say a huge well done to Lou for passing the course and finally putting to bed the question of whether women could operate on the front line. (I also include Hannah, Vicki and Louise in that statement also made it to the final stage).
To conclude, this series was a real journey for all of the contestants and we feel privileged to have shared the road with them over the past six weeks. Again, a huge thank you to Ant, Ollie, Foxy and Billy, as well as the entire crew for bringing us this fantastic experience.
