Bulford based Royal Military Police (RMP) have started searching the banks of a river in Germany for missing British toddler Katrice Lee.
She was last seen on her second birthday back in 1981 – near the British Army base where her father was stationed.
Salisbury Plain officers are leading the new forensic searches over the next five weeks, which have started after reviewing old evidence.
Bulford RMP officers have also released a photo fit of a man thought to have been in the area of the Schloss Neuhaus NAAFI in Paderborn around the time that Katrice went missing.
He was seen with a child similar to her too.
