Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addresses the ongoing India-China border dispute during a meeting with Chinese counterpart, urging for a peaceful and mutually beneficial resolution.

India’s Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, recently met with his Chinese counterpart, General Wei Fenghe, to address the long-standing border dispute between the two nations. Singh emphasized the importance of a peaceful resolution, underscoring the need for open dialogue and cooperation to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, aimed to foster understanding and collaboration between India and China. Both nations have experienced heightened tensions along their shared border, with several instances of military confrontation and standoffs in recent years.

General Wei Fenghe acknowledged the concerns raised by Singh and agreed on the need for a peaceful resolution. He expressed China’s willingness to engage in constructive dialogue and work towards finding a mutually agreeable solution to the border dispute.
